Blue Bag or "First In Bag"
The blue bag or "First In Bag" contains everything that EMT's would require to initially stabilize a patient. The bag contains IV supplies, the airway kit, glucometer, pulse oximeter, Blood Pressure Cuff, Oxygen masks, and medications used for Cardiac Arrests, Diabetic Emergencies, Breathing Difficulty, bleeding, and heart problems. This bag is called the "First in Bag" because it is always carried by the person getting to the patient first as it contains everything the EMT will require in the first few minutes of treating a patient.
