Engine 3

 

 

Engine 3 is a 2008 Alexis/Spartan Engine 3 is first due to all fire related calls. It carries 1000 gallons of water, and has a 1500 gpm pump.  It also has 1000 feet of 4in. supply hose, 1000 feet of 2 1/2, and 350 feet of pre connected attack lines

 

Engine 1

 

Engine 1 is a 1997 Spartan/ 3D pumper. Engine 1 is second due to all fire related calls. It carries 1000 gallons of water, and has a 1250gpm pump.  It also has 1000 feet of 4in. supply hose, 1000 feet of 2 1/2, and 350 feet of pre connected attack lines.  Engine 1 also carries our back up set of the jaws of life.

 

Tanker 1

 

Tanker 1 is a 2003 International/ 4 Guys Tanker.  Its carries 3000 gallons of water and has a 1500gpm front mounted pump.  Tanker 1 also has two portable tanks that can be deployed at a fire scene. Tanker one carries 1000 feet of 4in supply line and various lengths and 2 1/2 and 1/34 lines. The tank is the 3rd due piece for all fire related calls.

 

Rescue 1

 

Rescue 1 is 1991 Ford/ E-One.  The rescue responds to all odor investigations, CO alarm activations, water rescues, car accidents, and other special technical rescue and haz-mat situations.  The rescue carries our primary set of jaws as well as extensive hand tools, cribbing, haz-mat supplies, and dive gear.  Rescue 1 also has a 250gpm pump and 200 gallon tank as well as on-board foam capabilities.

 

Ladder 1

Ladder 1 is a 1975 Seagrave 100ft Rear mount ladder. Ladder 1 was purchased from our sister dept in Pelham, New York.  After outfitting and training Ladder 1 will be placed into service.

 

 

Ambulance 1

Ambulance 1 is a 2001 Ford/ Horton ambulance. A1 is first out on any medical, accident, or welfare check call.  All of our ambulances are ALS capable.

 

Ambulance 2

 

 

 

Ambulance 2 is a 2006 Ford/ Road Rescue ambulance.  A2 is our second due ambulance.  A2 responds when there are two calls going on at the same time or if a second ambulance is needed.  A2 is also our mutual aid ambulance and has the same capabilities as A1. 

 

Forestry 1

 

 

Forestry 1 is a 2005 Ford F350 heavy duty pick up with a 250 gallon skid pack.  Forestry 1 is used primary as a brush truck for small grass and roadside fires.  This truck is pump and roll capable. This truck was purchased entirely through grant money at no cost to the tax payers of Pelham.

 

Forestry 3

 

Forestry 3 is a military surplus heavy duty truck with a 1000 tank.  Forestry 3 is used primary as a off road brush truck for larger brush fires.  This truck is pump and roll capable. This truck was built in house by members of the Pelham Fire Dept.

 

Car 1

 

 

Car 1 is a 2008 Ford Expedition.  This vehicle serves as the departments incident command vehicle.  The Fire Chief responds with this vehicle to any large scale incident that will require an incident command post being setup.  The rear bench seat has been removed and a custom command box has been installed in the rear.

 

Car 2

 

 

Car 2 is a 1999 Ford Explorer.  This staff car is used primarily by the Fire Inspector for conducting his day to day duties and responsibilities of inspections, code enforcement,  and fire prevention.  This car also serves as the town Fire Investigation vehicle that holds all proper equipment used for conducting an investigation at the scene of a fire.

 

Special Operations Trailer

 

 

The Special Operations Trailer is used by the Fire Department at any special type incident; ie:  HazMat incidents, technical rescues, or many other incidents that deem fit.  This Special Operations Trailer was purchased solely by grant money awarded to the Fire Department at no cost to the tax payers of Pelham.
